How to check if your mobile device supports eSIM
Generally, smartphones that can use eSIM have an option to manage eSIM in the settings or network settings screen. After purchasing the eSIM service, you can easily set it up using the QR code provided by your carrier. Next, we'll show you how to check if your mobile device is suitable for using eSIM. To check compatibility, you need to have an internet connection and be able to display the eSIM QR code on another device screen or print it out.
■ How to check on iPhone
You can check if your iPhone supports eSIM technology with these simple steps: ・Tap "Settings." ・Go to "Cellular" (or "Mobile Data"). ・Your currently active SIM card(s) will be displayed on this screen. ・Tap the "Add Cellular Plan" option. ・If you see an option to scan a QR code, your iPhone supports eSIM.
■ How to check on Samsung
Follow these steps to check if your Samsung device supports eSIM: ・Go to "Settings." ・Select "Connections." ・Tap "SIM card manager." ・Select "Add mobile plan." ・If an option appears to scan a QR code to add a mobile plan, your Samsung mobile device can use eSIM.
■ How to check on Apple iPad
Follow these steps to check if your iPad supports eSIM: ・Tap "Settings." ・Go to "General." ・Select "About" under "General." ・Check if "EID" is displayed on the "About" screen. ・If "EID" is present, your iPad supports eSIM.
■ How to check on Google Pixel
Follow these steps to check if your Google Pixel supports eSIM: ・Tap "Settings." ・Go to "Network & internet." ・Select "Mobile network." ・Tap "Advanced." ・Go to "Carrier." ・Select "Add carrier." ・You will be asked for permission to use the phone's camera to scan a QR code. ・If all these steps are successful, you can manage eSIM on your Google Pixel.
■ How to check on Huawei
If you have a Huawei mobile phone, follow these steps to check if it's compatible with eSIM: ・Tap "Settings." ・Go to "Mobile network." ・Select "SIM management." ・Tap "Add eSIM." ・Next, enter the activation code (provided by your carrier). ・Then, scan the eSIM QR code. ・The eSIM will be installed after a short time. ・If you complete each step, your mobile device is compatible with eSIM.
■ How to check on Motorola
If you have a Motorola mobile phone, you can check its compatibility with eSIM with these steps: ・Select "Settings" > "Network & internet" > "SIM cards." ・Proceed to "Advanced" > "Carrier" > "Add carrier." ・A screen will appear to scan a QR code. ・If you can follow these steps, your Motorola mobile device supports eSIM.
■ How to check on OPPO
You can check if your OPPO supports eSIM technology with these simple steps: ・Tap the "Settings" icon. ・On the settings screen, select "SIM card & mobile data." ・Under "SIM card & mobile data," turn on "Mobile data." ・Select the "eSIM" option. ・If an option appears to scan a QR code, your OPPO mobile device can use eSIM.
■ How to check on Xiaomi
Currently, the only Xiaomi mobile model compatible with eSIM is the 'Xiaomi 12T Pro.' The option to add an eSIM appears on the 'Network settings' screen of this mobile model. Also, High-spec models from the Xiaomi 12T onwards will only have the eSIM function, and a physical SIM card will no longer be usable.
■ How to check if your device is eSIM-compatible
Please check if your mobile phone has the eSIM function.
A barcode or the text "EID" will be displayed. This means your phone supports eSIM.
